The EU representatives monitored and evaluated the F.A.I..T.H project on May 23, 2025, Addis Ababa Ethiopia

The European Commission representatives Caterina Valittuti and Elena Palavrova contacted the Ethiopian ministry of Education Chief Executive Officer Eba Mijena(PhD), Kotebe University officials and F.A.I.T.H Project Ethiopian core team at Kotebe University of Education to monitor and evaluate the project’s status. The project coordinating team member, Dr. Almaz Wasse, presented overall activities the project succeed so far: the selected Tandem characters, Work package activities that have been delivered, the midterm report of the project submitted to the EU, and the impact of the project. The representatives questioned the project management staff how the project is nationally and institutionally figuring out meaning full implementations. Dr. Ephrem Tekle, from German, addressed his coordinative role throughout the project’s journeys and how he experienced successes and challenges starting from validation to implementation. At last, the EU representatives suggested that the project should convey national effect in Higher Education capacity building and concluded their evaluation forwarding positive feedback.

The F.A.I.T.H Project coordinator met European Commission Representatives on May 19/2025, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Dr. Ephrem Tekle, the F.A.I.T.H project coordinator, along with his colleague and FAITH Project core team member Dr Almaz Wasse, had a fruitful project overview discussion with the EU funded projects representative Valitutti Caterina and her colleagues at Hilton hotel in Addis Ababa on 19/05/2025. The discussion focused on the impacts of the project that are central points for the EU monitoring and evaluation visit in the coming days. During the discussion, Caterina emphasized on the importance of each of the F.A.I.T.H project partners to achieve the desired outcomes. Dr Ephrem, the coordinator, provided information on the tangible contribution of each EU and Ethiopian partner. The meeting gave a good direction to facilitate the F.A.I.T.H project monitoring and evaluation visit that will take place on Friday, May 23/2025, at the F.A.I.T.H project head office, Kotebe University of Education.
